Our Trip to Family-Friendly Spain
This is an (almost) Wordless Wednesday post about our first family trip to Europe. We did a lot of research about where to start our foray into European exploration with a toddler, and we decided on Spain. You can read more about why on my Family Travel site at Bellaonline.com.
We started on the Mediterranean in Barcelona
We rented an apartment in each city instead of staying in a hotel.
La Sagrada Familia - designed by Gaudi
Barcelona Cathedral
Gargoyles gallore!
Hot chocolate from the Museo de Xocolata
When we got to Madrid, we decided to be tourists and ride the double decker bus, which turned out to be a great decision on that hot day!
Royal Palace in Madrid
Courtyard view in Madrid Apartment
Jamón at La Boquería Market
We took a high speed train to get around the country.
Pooky was practicing her walking skills in our Valencia apartment.
Valencia oranges!
Valencia market filled with spices!
Paella!
Largest aquarium in Europe
Back to the Mediterranean, this time in Valencia
Adios, España - until next time!
