Hi! I’m Tiffiny. My three big passions fuel this blog: Reading, Traveling and Teaching.

Traveling - I frequently get the itch to get out of town and explore something new. Maybe it’s because I was raised by road-tripping parents and moved around a lot as a child. Whatever the reason, I love to go. Thankfully, so does my husband. We didn’t want to stop traveling when our daughter came along. We figured out a way to bring her along.

Reading - Kidlit is the best! I couldn’t get enough of it as a kid, and I still love it as an adult. That’s because it provides so much opportunity for learning - about life, about history, science, and the world around us.

Teaching - For better or worse, I can’t help turning everything into a learning opportunity. It’s the teacher in me. I taught elementary school for thirteen years before my daughter was born. As a stay-at-home-mom, I became passionate about early childhood education. When my daughter was three, I coerced a few friends into forming a mini preschool homeschool co-op. That was a very fun year and led to much of the content on this blog. Since then, we’ve tried different school settings including public school and private schools. There are advantages and disadvantages to each school setting, but we’ve finally settled into homeschooling as our current best option. You’ll start to see some articles on here stemming from that. Though I continue to be inspired to share pre-k activities thanks to all my preschool age nieces and nephews.
