Educational Ways to Play with Plastic Easter Eggs
Here are some of the fun and educational ways we've come up with to play with those irresistible plastic Easter eggs. These ideas can be used with toddlers, preschoolers, and even school-age kids.
Build a Snowman with Shapes
Since we got our first snow of the season, we've been inspired us to do snowmen crafts and activities. I always try to tie some learning into our fun activities, so I created a way to build a snowman with paper cut outs while practicing shape skills.
Hide and Seek with Pumpkins (A Storybook Activity)
Based on the book Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin, I decided to create a game with some of our mini pumpkins.
Because I like to get the kiddo outside as much as possible, I chose to set this game up in our back yard. I hid a handful of mini pumpkins outside in places where I could describe their hiding spot using some of the same location words found in the book.
Pumpkin Patch Fun Plus Free Counting Printable
Our trip to the pumpkin patch inspired this counting activity for toddlers and preschoolers. There is a free printable for counting to ten and a printable for counting to twenty.
